I always enjoy pre-teen and teen flicks. I liked this film, Agent Cody Banks 2: Destination London even more than the original Agent Cody Banks. I think this movie received bad reviews, but really man, critics sometimes lack a sense of humor. Not every film requires sending kids a serious "message."
Then again, I am biased. Any film which showcases London, England is wonderful to me. I love London.
The plot: Cody Banks (Frankie Muniz) is sent to London to stop a wicked, naughty Earl from using a brainwashing device on the President of the USA. (Too late! Snicker.) That is the film in a nutshell: I bet that was how it was pitched at the studios too.
Anthony Anderson is a nice addition to this film, especially when he calls Cody Banks - "mini-me." I found that joke hilarious. Then again, any lightweight film showcasing kids / young teens as heroes is a good thing to me.
I like a good lighthearted film, some films today for young people focus too much on death, sex, cynicism, and extreme violence. So it's nice to see something like this. Although I suspect I enjoyed it more than most kids will.
This movie is lightweight fun without dirty, suggestive or extreme and vulgar humor.
Keith David is such a veteran of this industry. Much props to this man. Still looking good for his age. This man has been around a long time. If you think Samuel Jackson was in a lot of films, check out this guy.
Useless factoid: Madonna and Jason Alexander (aka George Costanza of Seinfiled) are some of the executive producers.
